Kate Middleton Style

Hey there!  Has it been a crazy summer for you too?

There have been so many changes going on lately–the major highlights are that I launched a new career lifestyle site and I’m starting business school in Philadelphia in two weeks!  With that said, I’m changing going to introduce some tweaks to Cao Bella, just because I’ll be much shorter on time and won’t have such easy access to a photographer (my SO).  I’ll likely have fewer shots of each look, but I’ll include more items that I’m loving at the moment.

So here goes!

Classic shift dresses and blazers are a must have when it comes to pulling off Duchess Kate’s signature look.

She’s also frequently seen with her LK Bennett nude shoes and all sorts of amazing clutches and minaudière.

Summer Style: Wear White

Wear White in Summer

Summer is almost here! That means I’m taking every possible opportunity to wear white.

Once, I had a friend whose mom only wore white and black clothes. I didn’t get the appeal. But now, I do. There’s a simplicity to these neutral colors, making it hard to go wrong when you’re wearing them.

You can bet I’ll be wearing a lot of white during my upcoming trip to Singapore–it’s supposed to be hot and humid, so a white, cotton linen shirt is sounding pretty stylish and functional just about now…

Spring Style: Tribal Print Skirt

Spring is almost over but there have been a couple of chillier days (ok, low 70′s is chilly for Hawaii weather!), prompting me to bust out one of my favorite chunky sweaters and tribal print skirt.

I’ve seen so many cool printed skirts in recent seasons and I’ve been stocking up on quite a few, including one featuring a neon green pattern and another with a gorgeous tropical pattern!  The trend has also continued to summer fashion–I’ve seen many great summer maxi tops and dresses featuring awesome prints.

Another thing I’m currently obsessed with are my Marc Jacobs Punk Mouse Ballet Flats.  I’ve finally started breaking them in and as a result, they’re actually comfortable enough to be worn around all day!

The Spa at Trump Waikiki Red Flower Event

The Spa at Trump Waikiki Red Flower Event

Last week was the launch of the Red Flower line at The Spa at the Trump Waikiki.  After sipping champagne (yummy), I was treated to a relaxing hand treatment (ahhhh…) that left my skin oh-so-soft.  The Spa at the Trump Waikiki is the only spa that carries their Ocean line, which features delicate sea inspired scents made especially for Hawaii.

Champagne and strawberries

What I liked most about the line is that it’s organic, smells extremely pleasing and non-chemically, and is surprisingly reasonably priced too!  Most items are under $26-$66, which is incredible for a spa quality product.  Coming soon: a review of the Red Flower lotion!

Springing into a Floral Print Monokini

Written by , Posted in Fashion, Hawaii

A San Lorenzo Floral Print Monokini

Like most women, I have my fair share of body insecurities.  I don’t love being seen in a swimsuit because I know last week, I skipped on two days of working out.  But in fashion, as in life, it’s all about being secure enough to step out of our comfort zone and try something new in hopes of achieving something better, of inspiring more beauty.  Especially here in Hawaii, women are so confident in their bikinis and I love it!  So that’s my motivation for today’s post, which is about my new favorite swimsuit and my first floral print monokini.

You may have seen a similar style from a show I styled last year–I loved how the suit elongated my model and decided to try the style myself!  I love the silhouette and how sophisticated it looks when paired with a structured jacket.  I know it’d look just as amazing with some cutoff shorts and sheer top.  So next time you’re ready to splurge on a new bikini, consider a monokini instead!
